28-11-2019, 02:34 PM #5If it has a DVD, you should be able to update by ordering a newer dvd (like the older ones). If it's hard disk based, he's buggered by the sound of it, as it's a dealer only upgrade.

28-11-2019, 03:16 PM #7Moley - the LOC might know more, but most of the information I've dug up is from them. If I was your mate, I'd be phoning Lexus for a quote and seeing if anyone else has found a hack to do it cheaper.

On a 57 plate I'd think it would still be on a disc as its only the very latest that have the hard disc, you can tell when you open the glove box, on the left hand in the top corner there should be a cd slot, also if he goes into the menu and checks the map version there should be an eject option which will eject the cd, if he does get a new disc, do not use the old one once the nav has updated because it will ****** it, think the discs are bout £140
