Some gauges to keep an eye on what's happening. Boost gauge to keep check of how the turbo is doing. An oil temperature gauge I think is essential, given that there will be a lot more strain on the oil, both to cool the turbo and the engine itself. I chose the Defi Advance CR gauges, both for their reputation for producing good gauges, and also because they look nice Big Grin

The boost gauge comes in two variants. I've got the one that goes up to 1.2 bar, they also do one that goes up to 2.0 bar.

Also there's the control unit that's needed to go along with the gauges (lets you connect several gauges together and play back what happened etc).

dimis Have you also found a gauge pod mate?

I'm hacking apart one that I bought and making up my own one. I reckon it'll either look pretty cool or be a total disaster lol. I'm taking pics as I go, but I'll wait till it's all done to post that up.

I don't personally like pillar pods (no offence to those who have them), so since I don't have satnav I'm making something up to sit in the middle of the dash, in the tray above the central air vents.

That is great mate, i have also the same idea with you but i have not started it yet. I have got the pod but i have to find time to cut and adjust it in the center of the dash.

I'm with you on the pillar pods Steve, funny you should say me and Toxo were talking about them yesterday and saying alternatives which could be having a single din stereo and then mounting the gauges above it or getting a double din screen and getting a HKS Camp 2 and using that to monitor everything Big Grin

I have decided the 3 gauges I have mounted under my stereo make the car look a like Halfraurds reject, so I am now looking for somewhere to mount them. But having pillar air bags they can't go on the pillars and the Sat nav stops them going in the middle of the dash. Decisions decisions!!

How about a guage pod and replace where the rear view mirror goes on the interior roof?

I very nearly did it when i had my IS and did try a couple of different designs to go there? looked ok with a triple mount and a double would probably work ok too, if it was covered in the same type of flocking/fabric as the interior roof lining, better if you have the 52mm gauges though so they dont come down too low
