Hi guys,

I have finally got round to fitting this!

This is a heads up display unit which is really clear on the windscreen, its suprisingly good i would def recommend getting one. Its a pretty clever bit of kit, it can have speed warnings, and also has light sensor so adjusts when its bright sunlight or dark at night.

It also And its REALLY easy to fit, only three wires!!! If you have a speedo converter then even your granny could fit it!

here's whats in the box:

Here's how to fit it:

Tools required: -

-philips screwdriver
-soldier iron
-pliers
-Speedview HUD!
-insulation tape.

1. Lower the steering wheel, and pull out the gear surround and undo the two screws holding the bottom of the dash on. the rest of the dash "pops" out. remove all the of the plugs connected to the dash. (dont worry they are stupid proof)

So your left with this...

2.

Next undo the two screws at the bottom the gauge surround.

3.
And the two at the top, and remove.

4.
Again, remove the two at the bottom and the one at the top. and pull the dash forwards.

check out my orange screwdriver!

5.
When removing the dials, pull it forward at the angle in the picture, reach round and disconnect the 3 plugs, two on the right and the awkward one on the left.

6.
Grab the cable supplied in the kit, it is plenty long enough to go through the dash, the route i chose was near the vent next to the door. there is enough of a gap to pass it between the windscreen and the dash.

7. Feed the wire around the dash to your desired position, i chose the centre of the dash but i may change it to the side where they recommend!

8.

You need to find a ignition live 12v, earth, and speed sensor cable.
If you have a speedo convertor chip, then your in luck! because that is exactly the cables that it uses!

Here is pic to help you find the right cables.

If you dont have speedo converter, you can take the igniton live and earth from your stereo.
The Speed sensor wire at the plug is this one.

9. Connect the cables using the supplied scotch locks, or solder the cables for added security.

10.
Refit the dash in the reverse order.

11.
Attach two velcro strips to the base of the unit, and the other in two in roughly the right position on the dash, dont worry too much if you dont get it quite right, you can move it a little to suit.

12. Fit the "tinted screen" using water so you can move it around a little to
get the best postion. like so...

13. Turn on the ignition and check it works!

da daa!!

14.
Finally, follow the setup procedure in the instructions to adjust the unit. mine needed a little adustment as i have 18's on my car.
