Right, as my current 1g-fe needs a rebuild and a serious service (as it's 20k overdue on a timing belt), the v8 project will require an 01+ IS300 rather than a W reg is200, so I want to sort out this car instead for now. I haven't looked after it at all, so the drive-train is completely destroyed.

I've got a poverty spec build in the works that should see decent power on the cheap, using mostly GTE bits and rotrex C30 supercharger that one of my friends has going spare from an old celica build. Those of you who remember Dave's (almost_finished) early supercharger build, this is a similar design.

Needs to be able to handle 350 at the crank, just need to check my shopping list off and get some input for the rest of you. I'll be keeping the vvti head.

1g-gte bits:
crank, rods, pistons, flywheel
Air to water intercooler off the early 1g-gte as it's already integrated into the rocker cover.

injectors:
Anyone got any idea what the cheapest/best value solution is to upgrading injectors that can handle 350hp? Not sure what CC I even need or what other injectors fit the 1g engine.

Clutch:
Any recommendations for specific clutches (eg, a link...) that will bolt up to the gte flywheel and IS200 6 speed would be nice. Again, only needs to handle 350hp and has to be driveable (ie, organic, not a 4 puck).

Piggyback ecu:
Not going turbo, but I'd need something to run the engine. Any recommendations would be nice, the intake temperature should remain low enough to avoid det but I want something with half decent knock detection.

Cooling:
I have no idea what I need in terms of oil coolers etc, would it be worth upgrading to an aluminium radiator for the engine coolant?

Exhaust manifold:
Going for the japspeed decat and a sports cat arrangement, anyone done this?

Plugs:
I'm using NGK iridium ones but I can't remember what temperature.

Fuelling:
I think I'm aware of what I need for this, thanks to a lengthy amount of picking Stav's brains, but if anyone has any input on this in terms of FPR's and pumps that would be good.

Anything else I've missed? I want the driveablilty to be pretty good, as it will be daily driven.

Probably back home, I haven't got anywhere I can get stuff delivered to up here or leave the car to work on for any great length of time. The guy giving me the supercharger has a large garage the car can live in for a few months down near N-town. I've had a £9,900 loan approved by barclays they are just being slow about paying it at the moment. It's actually a career development loan, but I've sunk all my savings into the course so I should have at least 3k to spend, plus the £1400 tax I'm due back in April. Bearing in mind I'm going to try and keep as many parts toyota as possible, it should be quite cheap. I think the most expensive thing on there is going to be the custom fitting for the supercharger and then getting it mapped. Everything else bolts on.

I just want to make sure I have all the parts I need in one go, as getting the engine out and rebuilding it, only to find I've got some wrong bits will be a ball ache. I think I could realistically take 2 weeks off and get most of the work done with some help from others, then send it off to someone to fit the charger.

In theory, it shouldn't be that different from taking the engine out and just putting it back in again, as all the wiring will be the same. Even the throttle body stays the same.

JAE 100%. Everything else depends on funds. The IS is completely ruined at the moment, clutch is slipping, belts need doing, pumps need replacing, it's hunting on idle occasionally, leaks oil and the paintwork needs fixing. I basically want to try and get everything ready for JAE and have something worth taking.

If you want to head down to anything else, I'm happy to car share and split the petrol.
