Matt Law and his partner in crime have taken time out of their weekend to fix my banged up IS. The front hub has been replaced and they replaced my timing belt too.

Matt took some photos of how hilariously bad the state of the car was. It feels like a whole new car now, ridiculously smooth and a bit quicker. Plus I've got a nice engine noise back, instead of it sounding like a diseasel. The timing was near as damnit 2 teeth off.

Anyway..

Cheers guys!

Hoping that front calliper will just be an advisory so I can whip the LS400 ones on during the week. No way I'm refurbing something I'm about to take off. Tyres won't be a problem because I'll get them to fit the new ones before the MOT.

This was less than a third of the fluff behind the cover!

Timing was a bit out:

PM me your number mate because it needs doing tomorrow. I've got an MOT centre literally 200 yards from my house, so I'll see if they are willing to make a new friend.

edit: Matt has a video of how ruined the wheel bearing was as well!

Geed belt, that wins LOL of the week.

I must admit my front N/S Calliper took a 2lb hammer to get off the calliper carrier - it was that seized.

It will drive far better once changed, the IS300 now gets to 18mph before needing accelerator pedal, before it just sat there like a manual until the engine was poked a bit.

Yep, took it for a spin around the block and it's A LOT better. So much smoother and it feels way faster now. Looking forward to ragging it down to Peterborough on Tuesday.
