Timing belt help please!
I am doing my belt tomorrow so checked out costs of various parts. The crank pulley is about 350-400 euro. If they charged you 50 and u really have a new pulley then great.
For questions on loosening the crank pulley bolt a picture speaks a thousand words. ...I used a 1/2" HD ratchet and loaded it up so it had firm contact against the chassis. You can also have it on the floor on the other side as mentioned earlier.
Rad is still in as I wanted to check the bolt could be loosened first.
If anyone needs the pdf destructions pm me with ur email address.

I had to take it to my mechanics workshop so that he could use the impact gun they use on Busses! to get my crank bolt undone and even then they needed a minute or so to get the bolt undone it seems a common problem on our cars where either previous back yard Mechanics use an impact gun to tighten them instead of torqing it propperly, or over time the bolt just becomes extremely tight through heat or friction or something (not really very familiar with the specific science behind it) but i think more likely its the first reason.
Appears I cant load pics or forum doesn't like it.
I did cam belt but now car wont start!
Timing checked and double checked. Timing correct.
I did move lower crank sensor when replacing crank oil seal, so I suspect a wire issue. I can smell fuel and eng turns fine though. . Will check for spark tomorrow.
Will try look thru manual for resistance limits etc For the sensor.
Can't see or remember unplugging anything else.
