AFR Readings
AFR Readings
What sort of readings are everyone getting on their Supercharged IS200s?
I finally got my AFR Gauge wired up, and went out for a drive.
Under normal driving, the gauge went up and down, as you'd expect, but on a 'full throttle test' the reading dropped to around 11 and stayed there.
Is this normal? I was expecting it the lean out a tad at higher revs
The gauge I went for has a datalogger built in, so i'll try and get the graph to show the reading through the full rev range when I get the tacho signal connected.
14.7 is good stoichness, 11 will be rich as your on full throttle adding fuel, anything above 14,7 is lean too much air.
11.2 to 11.5 (dependant on car) is usually good for power, the leaner you go on full throttle the more torque you loose, my Supra was dyno'd at 359.8hp but only 330lbft of torque, basically 70ftlb down on what you would expect from a 7MGTE at that level of tune due to air/fuel ratios in the high 13s! ad:
Its now been sorted with larger injectors and an HKS fuel controller and i reckon is now between 420 to 450lbft with hp tipping the 400 mark, in first gear on a warm road it almost feels like its gonna lift the front wheels off the ground
