Stage 2 Supercharger upgrade
Also before I fit it I'm guessing I should change the oil on the charger? Is there anything else I need to look out for or check?

Yep replace the oil, should be quite clean when it comes out.
Glue a magnet to the drain plug if u wish. Check there isn't any play in the rotors - forward rear movement in the pulley and also wear in the pulley bearing.
If it has the original 3 small bolts on the pulley drive use larger bolts.

Why should I replace the bolts mate? Also how should I check for play in the rotors? Should they not move at all other then move round like they do?

Would definitely change the bolts. 2 of mine snapped but lucky got them out fairly easily and replaced them - searched every trader at JAE for new bolts and eventually found a box of hundreds in Rabster's boot!
As far as power Dimis is getting about 270bhp now with a 160mm pulley, bigger injectors and a good map, (manifold and decat exhaust system etc. too) but I think this is about the most you can hope for. A remap is always recommended, just to get the fueling perfect. A wideband is a must if you are concerned about the fueling at all (without a perfect map then you should be concerned) as some people (naming no names!) have bent rods etc. with this spec badly set up!
As far as the black box, I think the Emanage can replace it's function, but not 100% sure.
I think Popeye is a member on here but unsure of his username, he is currently doing the same upgrades, and I believe is going to fit injectors from a 1.8L 4 cylinder Avensis.
Thanks for the response Stoney. I'm looking at getting the car mapped at tuning developments in Warrington. I've noticed that a lot of people on the startlet club have used these and they tend to do a lot of Toyota's but not sure on their overall knowledge, are they a decent company to use? They are charging £250 for the mapping plus extra if I want them to fit the emanage. I haven't got an uprated exhaust on the car yet as prefer the standard one really. Would I be ok with this though? I'll probably upgrade the exhaust at a later date.
As for the bolts, which size will I need?
Stoney, as long as the car has been mapped well should it remain as reliable as stock I presume? This is the first car that I'm charging that's why so still learning!

Get a backbox designed for turbo applications. The Subaru impreza ones fit on with a little cutting and welding.
Thanks for the input guys...looks like this is going to end up costing a lot more than I thought! So what if I were to just use a standard pulley? I know that this would leave me with less power but where would I stand then? Dimis, would I still need to carry out the exhaust mods you mentioned etc?
one thing ive learnt from people who have done similar projects is to take the total cost of what you think it will cost, then double or tripple your original figure and you should just have enough to cover the costs.
