reganlives Thanks for the input guys...looks like this is going to end up costing a lot more than I thought! So what if I were to just use a standard pulley? I know that this would leave me with less power but where would I stand then? Dimis, would I still need to carry out the exhaust mods you mentioned etc?

with the standard pulley, you should be ok, no exhaust tuning is needed. Just check the condition of your precats on the exhaust manifold. Pre-cats tend to collapse with time and block the exit of the exhaust manifold.

is300_dino one thing ive learnt from people who have done similar projects is to take the total cost of what you think it will cost, then double or tripple your original figure and you should just have enough to cover the costs.

I agree with you mate, tuning is not a cheap hobby and always costs more than you plan....

Same goes for any type of modifying!

Thanks Dimis. Picked up the charger last night and am getting the original smaller pulley as well so that will give me a bit of headroom and then when I'm ready I can do the full stage 2 upgrade.

For the bolts ........ if its the original bolts still installed then they may have threadlock - 2 of mine did, use a GOOD screwdriver and see if they turn. If not u need to heat it a bit.

For replacements two options, replace the originals with a high quality bolt or replace with something like a 5mm imnstead, but of course you need to redrill and tap the holes.
