got flux to call me today gave them the list of mods they put it through using marker study also and now its down to 1300. suppose turning 30 and getting older is helping plus 8 years ncd

06-06-2020, 08:18 AM #3renewed it yesterday with performance direct who brokered it through marker study it was 1688 on the written renewal sheets they send out, so called them told them about the cf bonnet and a few extra bits and they whacked it up to over 2000! last year with PD was about 1800. so have now cancelled the PD contract.
got flux to call me today gave them the list of mods they put it through using marker study also and now its down to 1300. suppose turning 30 and getting older is helping plus 8 years ncd

Mines with marker study too, 620 last year, renewal of 653, i think not, I've had a new quote of 501 so I've a week of phone calls to see what I can get, I had issues proving the competitions quotes last time to get a price match, but then I thought, why should I struggle to get detailed quotes emailed just cos I've only had a summary quote emailed? At the end of the day i declare everything and keep my details up to date, they should be trying to get my business, not the other way around, so I just said, fine I'll switch, and they matched all of a sudden, I'm not paying more than 500 this time, happy chappy, and I've still a week left to try get it down further

Am actually with Performance Direct at the mo as they were the best with charger and other mods declared. Though I am thinking of changing cars pretty soon so will see what they have to say about that?!
Just goes to show how random these people are though, often it really depends upon the sales person you speak with too. My misses works in insurance (home, not car) and used to be in sales, the target price these brokers offer you is always a lot more than their absolute bottom line, 20-30% more is common, I expect it's the same with cars.

ad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. ad:I've never had good quotes from Adrian Flux. A few years back I even hada a girl ask me, "What's a supercharger?" and after a brief explanation that was like a turbo but crank driven rather than exhaust powered and then she asked, "Does it add any power to the engine?" and went on to quote me nearly double what I got been quoted by Tesco!

I will be contacting a few my self this year as insuring 5 cars cost a pretty penny so who ever wins with will get all my business this year lol
