So if I took a kit out of my old 200 it wouldn't work in my 300 with the Clifford?

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

LEXOB What's the difference mate?

The standard is200 wiring is a positive trigger to the modules

Aftermarket alarms (most of them) are negative trigger

When I had my is200 I had an aftermarket alarm and configured the modules to allow the mirrors to fold in and out depending on the state of the alarm (armed or disarmed)

I don't know if the standard trigger is still functioning with an aftermarket alarm as I never probed that bit lol

Sparkystav it works with the standard system mate!

Standard system doesn't work...costs too much to have it looked at or repaired so need to replace it with after market alarm system, which i need to purchase and install, i had a TOAD alarm system but couldn't find the correct wiring diagram for the model i tried all the diagrams floating around but the colour coding didn't match, so couldn't make any sense of it, so now i have to buy a new one with diagram that matches the wiring, but need a system that i can wire in to the central locking too, any extra functions are a bonus...

So if i can find an alarm system that i can acquire at a very low price or for free for that matter i may just bring it to JAE and ask one of our electronics wizards to help me fit it for the low price of a few beers then we have a solution... *hint hint* Big GrinConfusedmoke::tongue_smilie:

Takes about 5 hours from start to finish on the is200

Fitted a alarm on kevpr's altezza the other weekend
Door locks
Boot pop
Bonnet trigger
Interior trigger

Providing you don't need a cat1 for your insurance I can recommend a few options Smile

To be perfectly honest Rabster, i'm not sure if Cat 1 has any relevance in Ireland, or to me as long as it does what its supposed to, so i you have any options i would most certainly like to hear them.

P.S the insurance company i go through never even asked me about my alarm system its an american insurtance company that specializes in insuring Expats in the country they are working in so in my case a South African in Ireland, my insurance disk is then issued to me by the Irish insurer, that was chosen for my specific policy besides that i only have 3rd party coverage
