I have just got a supercharger kit, and noticed there were a few people trying to build diy kits. As my cradle is sitting in a box, and I've got a Faro arm, if there is enough interest I can look at inspecting it and get a cad drawing together for fabricating new ones.

Worth me bothering?

Well if ever there was a bit of kit suited to properly measuring the cradle...that's it!

The arm is far more accurate than the cradles manufacturing tolerances Wink
Only slight issue is copying something that is 2nd hand and possibly not perfect, you'll just be replicating errors. Looking at the construction though if it's a few mm out a bit of brute force should see you right.

I'll get some prices off my tame fabricator. What sort of money would people be happy to spend? Seen £200-300 bandied about, should be able to beat that.

A CAD file of the cradle would be perfect.

I'd say a Cad file wouldn't suffice and it would be extremely hard to make. You'd need to make a jig to be able to replicate all angles and measurements.

That would be the other way to do it, just build a jig around mine. But I can cad it up for nowt, whereas I don't have much experience making jigs.

... But if there's enough interest I might be able to convince my fabricator its worth his while helping out Wink

I'm sure there would be plenty interest as three or four have been trying for over a year to borrow a cradle to make up a jig to diy the charger setup... and nobody's had a cradle available to.do the jig...

If you do it, you're sorted for a few sales on here I'd say. Remember you have to be a paid up member to sell stuff though!

IS200 Sport - Sold
Mazda 6 MPS - Zoom Zoom!

Modifications
Completed:

Currently 280bhp/295lbft; 3" Meercat custom exhaust; KW Suspension; FMIC; SSP; HPFP; Custom Stainless Steel Dials - for the moment, the only set in the world!! (Till the group buy for MPSOC anyway  )

In Progress:

E-Tuning remap ongoing via Cobb Accessport; Braided brake lines; Stubby aerial; Tinted repeaters and sidelights; 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid; 3" HTP Intake
