Yeah, do you really expect to get good mpg from a bargain swap and no effort to address gearing?
You will still be sat at fairly high boost on the motorway. If you want efficiency, get a well designed manifold and twin scroll turbo, do as much as you can to lower intake temp and lean out the air/fuel ratio. Then sort out the diff/gearing so you aren't over 3500rpm all the time. You need to be thinking about more than just the engine if raw horsepower isn't the only factor.

I never said there was going to be no thought put into gearing etc.
I intend to get the engine in and running on a budget, then tune/modify as I go, it's not going to be an overnight thing.
I use the car daily, so the main priority is to get it in and running, I can use it daily and be no worse off MPG wise than a stock IGFE for a short period while I sort the other factors out.

You need to do it at the same, or you will have to get two custom props made and mess about with speed sensors.
