First Car Thoughts/.
This is probably a bit too soon, but i thought ide post anyway.
Ill be looking for a car (Hopefully), around May/June/July next year. (Once i have a job i can save save save!).
Just wondering what a good idea for a first car would be? Ide prefer it to be japanese, so i can be more part of the club, but any car will do.
Budget: £1.4-5k. + Insurance.
I need to get a lot of hours in at work, and some extra shifts, all in amongst my college work, b ut ill try and do it.
Get thinking leep:
Not Jap mate but i've had 2 both very good cars and only group 5 insurance, i'd defo have another as a second car.
306 DTURBO this was my second with 17" TSW Freeze alloys on, if you do fancy one then make sure the cam belts been done around the 67K mark apart from that boss cars considering there French:laugh:
Honda Civic ?
Toyota Starlet, but not the turbo being as its your first motor
Good little reliable car and you can always make it look better, being as there are quite a few mods out for it (if insurance allows?) :thumbup1:
I was looking at the civic. But the older civic is a higher end insurance group, and will cost me about 3k. Whereas the new 2001 + versions are only 2.5k a year. O sorry, yerh 1.4litre Honda Civic 2001, £2775 a year.
Looked for a starlet and they was around the 3.2k a year mark. And the DTurbo 306's are even more. Its not the car, its the insurance :O.
EDIT. The DTurbo only come in a 2.0litre. = 1999T Peugeot 306 D Turbo, 1905CC Diesel, 5DR, Manual = £2737.97 SHOCKING :O. Thats quite cheap to say what it is.
the thing is with your first car you just have to bite the bullet and bend over the first year, after that you will be ok
Does 3rd party fire and theft count if someone just vandalises it? (EG Breaks a window, in an attempt to steal something from inside?)
nopehock:
depends on the company mate, but i doubt it.
