IS200 EFI fuse problem
IS200 EFI fuse problem
Few hours ago my car died out while driving. I tried to start and startermotor runs normally but the car wont start. Next I checked fuses and found that EFI fuse was burned. I put a spare fuse to the socket but it burned instantly when I turned engine electricity on. To make sure I repeated it with new fuse but burned again. Everything else with quick check looks fine to me. No broken wiring or anything. Only thing was the missing droning sound from petrolpump.
Anyone who could know anything about this?? Only thing what came to my mind is that petrolpump is somehow broken or jammed and short circuiting ... Wiser opinions?
Thanks!
Could be the pump shorted, or the EFI relay broken, you'd need to poke about with a meter to find out
Yes. After gym I have to go and tear down rear seat and unplug fuelpump. I also found something written about EFI relay problems. Hope that it won't pop fuses after unplugging fuelpump. It needs to be replaced anyway because I'm working alongside with boostingproject. Hoping that someone could conjure me new stonger conrods
Problem solved. Pump shorted. After unplugging pumps connector fuse didn't pop. Also put cables straight to pins from other battery and nothing happen. Now searcing new more powerfull pump. Are there something I should know when installing different kind?? Or should they work straight?
Think its a gss342 you need from walbro for a more powerful one
Pump wasn't shorted after all. Relay is also fine. It was faulty lambdawires that sometimes shorted cause exhaustpipe vibrating. Too many contacts with the ground cause low car and Japspeed catbacks improperly installed lambdasensor hole! Have to someday change sensorhole position when I have time. But new walbro 255 works fine Little wrestling with installation cause it bigger pump but now its fitting okay. Now my car doesn't rev correctly to redline cause 310cc nozzles and no back lambda but those can be fixed in no time.
