The paul walker tribute cruise 28/12/2013
RIP Paul, but i don't understand the memorial cruise ect, Colin mcRae ok but the guy was an actor playing a part, not some racing star???
The guy was a petrol head in real life. We lost one of our own and like him or not, the F&F films are a huge part of our community. I don't think I can recall a single car event where there hasn't been at least one reference to a Paul Walker line.
"one of our own" don;t make me laugh....when did you last see him at a car meet, How many club members do you know with a chauffer????
The guy driving the car owned a tuning shop and Paul was part owner of it.
He loved cars. Remember they were all reasonably unknown when they made the first film, which was in a niche market. I bet they were/are all massively into cars to sign up to make it.
Don't make you laugh? The guy turned up to one of the biggest car meets in the USA in his 2fast 2furious skyline and spent the whole day chatting to people and checking out what other people are doing with their cars. Paul Walker was a petrol head through and through.
A love of cars is what brings this community together; Paul Walker was someone with a huge love for cars and put a lot back into that community, not just with his charity work but the time he gave to fans. Take one look at his garage and you will understand full well how much of a petrol head he was. Watch that video of him visiting the Mines garage in Japan. Find any reference from fans who met him.
If you find that something to laugh at and want to question those who want to pay tribute to a member of this community, I don't think you belong here.
Now now people, healthy debate is fine but let's keep it at that.
Whether you support the fame hype or not, like him or not, love or hate Fast & Furious, I believe at the very least this loss is more poignant because his face has been seen around the kind of cars we drive, he's young and lively, it's a very stark reminder that there but for the grace of god or whatever fate and destiny you believe in go us.. best cars in the world, best drivers in the world.. it means nothing, one moment, one lapse, one small part failure, one misjudgement.. and it could be any one of us ... If this and the other sad losses in our community this past year don't make you stop and think, then you NEED to stop and think... life is too short and each and every one of us should be more grateful for each day we don't kill our cars and they don't kill us or our friends
