Hey Guys,

I'm new here. Been goin through some of your projects and they are inspirational to say the least.

Anyway I've got a 2004 Mark II Blit iR and the old engine died. So I got a replacement 1gfe in along wit a gearbox. I was careful with the inspection and did a compression check, changed the oil n sparks, checked the seals and ignition coils and everything is fine. First crank and the engine turned firing on all sixes.

Everything was fine untill the engine got hot. Idle went up to 2k and in gear it drops to 1200 at it sounds really rough. At first I thought it was a new engine thing so I went along with the break in process and the problem only got worse. cold starts still beautiful no complaints no problems but as soon as it heats up idle jumps to 2k and it gets very noisy but i can still live with all that but what i cant live with is the way i have to keep pushing the throttle to get it past 100. Once past that it sprints all the way to 180.

I've never seen such random behaviour but i've also never driven vvt-i's before. So i'm at a loss for solutions. Sumone suggested resetting the ecu might help. I need sum pro help here guys. Sad Any Suggestions???
