Cheers matey, still got a long way to go yet? going to see if i can degrease it all today and get rid of the lower dirt thats built up? Plus if i get chance i'll be painting all the metal work under the arches (suspenson etc) to give them a bit of protection Wink

Wow... just read the whole thread Chris - you should go into business detailing. Seriously have you ever given it some thought ? or you got another job sorted yet?

cant you stick a wee advert in local papers/on here/any other forums etc ?

I am sure there are people like me that dont have the time /skills required but would still like a decent engine bay to look at when popping the hood ..maybe go round the existing car valet places round your way and offer your services or even better just start up yourself . Maybe offer basic valeting etc first since probably more demand for that. I know up my way every old filling station is now turned into a car wash place. -and they all seem busy enough.Once you get established through word of mouth etc , then specialise in the engine stuff. ??

Spent 5hrs cleaning dirt off the engine today and quite happy with how its starting to come up? it's quite surprising on how far its come since i first got it?

How it was when i first got the car..

And Now..

You can see how clean the plastics have come up today, and most of the metalwork is a lot brighter and cleaner looking?

Fan soaking..
After..nice and white Big Grin
[Image: DSCF5775.jpg]

Even the washer bottle and brake fluid bottles look nice and white again

Just need to get some nice fine wire brushes now so i can get in all the cracks and tight places and some more tyre foam to make it nice and shiny again Big Grin

Tyre foams great stuff matey :thumbup1:

If you get a can of Autosmart Tyre Dandy (the best i've found for doing it) and spray it on the engine, it usually comes up nice and clean with a bit of a shine to it :thumbup1:

And very easy too !

I was suprised how little effort you have to put into it for a good finish. So if you do put some effort into it then I'm sure even better results are possible, and Bandit's car probably demonstrates that very nicely !
