You may want to try and get it worded to say something along the lines of the fact that all electronics, gauges and other features of the car (aircon, alarm etc) still will work as before - so including the fuel gauge, rev counter (reading correctly), etc, etc - just with the addition of the new engine. The fuel economy gauge might be something that is tricky to get working but you can live without, but the rest of the stuff is pretty essential really.

Will you have a boost gauge, AFR gauge or anything like that ? Make sure you're not expecting extra stuff like that if it's not included.

Is there a target bhp figure, or even just a rough range of bhp to be achieved ? How will this be tested, on whose dyno ?

Will the installation be such that it's easy to do maintenance jobs on the engine, e.g. nothing is put so you have to take the engine out to get to it - changing the clutch is a good one for this.

What optional work can they suggest that could be done to further optimise the installation, that isn't included in this price (a good way of seeing things that aren't included) ?

What if some of the parts of the donor engine are found to be in bad shape, what costs would there be in fixing/replacing these ? (e.g. the donor turbos are found to be knackered).

What sort of warranty is included in the work ?

You might not want all of this in there, but this some food for though, hopefully.

Try and get them to give you an approx figure for Labour hours so if they go way over they can't charge extra, they probably won't be able to as they won't know until they get stuck in but worth asking:thumbup:

40mm Lowering Springs, Re-sprayed Front, 6000K HID's, Re-furbed alloys, Bandit Induction Kit (cheers Chris), Raised boot spoiler with LED, Blue calipers with silver decals, De-badged rear, Chrome Oil Filler Cap (thanks to Chris again), White LED dash bulbs, Blue a/c control bulbs, Blue door markers and interior lights, Sony head unit, Chrome Lexus tax disc holder, TRD side skirts, Original Saloon Front Bumper re-fitted instead of Sportcross

I'd suggest a price for the whole job rather than labour.

that was any custom work done by third parties is also included.
Any extra materials (silicone hoses, custom pipework etc) as well.
so that if its more than they thought its to their cost then not Asi's.

I would want ALL work to have a years parts and labour warranty, apart from the things YOU supply then that is down to you.

How long is the work going to take?

Is the garage fully insured - i.e they make a real mess of the work do they have insurance to get you out of trouble? I am sure he does but a question worth asking.

Are you going to have an independent garage review the work just to be sure your car is safe? I did and it WAS worth while if only for piece of mind.
