Hi all,

Just seeing if there is any interest in going on a short weekend break in to Belgium for the 1st international car show of the year.

Even if your not wanting to take your car.. im looking for a co-pilot to come with me... as travelling long distance is always nicer when you have company.

I go with my local car club... but im seeing if any other OJC member would be up for a laugh Smile

The show is only one day, but we will be going for the weekend, just like we have for past 2 years with my local car club....

On the Friday morning we will drive down to Dover or Folkstone to catch a Ferry or Train across to Calais. Once we hit Calais we will then convoy across the top of France (most likely Dunkirk) into Belgium where we will drive south down to Brussels.

In the late afternoon we will arrive just outside of Brussels in a town we have used every year. We will be staying in a Hotel Ibis, which we know is clean and tidy and the cars will be safe.

On Friday evening we will be walking into the town to go our for a meal as a group or you can go grab some munches yourself. Once we have eaten we will be moving onto a Bar. Once we are all together we will then hit the Clubs and Partyyyyyyy Hard for the night.

Saturday will consist of doing your own thing and chilling, most will be staying in bed with a phat hang over, but this is the chill out day, do what ever you want as its a free day. Go shopping, go grab something eat, look round the local market or even go chill with some beers.

Sunday morning we will need be checked out the hotel at 7am and on the road by 7.30am convoying to the show just outside Brussels. If we time this right we will be at the front of the queue as normal.

We will then spend the day at the show with all cars on show. In the evening we will then convoy back up Belgium and across northern France to Calais/Dunkirk to the come back over to the UK.

Here is a rough Break down...

Total miles: 550 approx (in total).

Petrol based on a 2litre turbo Gsi - £150 max.

Hotel for 2 nights based on two sharing - £110.

Ferry crossing based on car - £60.

Total cost of Journey
per car: £300.

(Thats £170 to get you there and accommodation for the weekend based on two in a car)
