The new fuel pump arrived today. Everything is included in the kit. Tomorrow I will install the fuel pump, timing belt, TRD rear links and TRD gearbox mount. The TRD spark plugs have not arrived yet. Hopefully I will have them sometime next week.
Looking good mate. Hope it makes a difference to the standard one
Today was a bizzy morning. Firstly we started by swapping the OEM with the DeatschWerks fuel pump. Not plug and play as I thought. Initially I had to remove the OEM plug and fit the new DeatschWerks power supply plug. Next step was to fit the fuel pump on the holder . The diameter of both pumps are the same but the uprated fuel pump is a few centimeters longer. So had to modify sligtly the bottom of the DeatchsWerks fuel pump so as the cap of the holder would fit in place. After completion of the fuel pump swap and reseting the ECU I took the car for a spin and yes! the sesult was successful. The A/F now is between 12.1 and 12.6. Same values that I had when the car was mapped. So the conclusion is that the OEM fuel pump cannot handle 250+
hp.
One more thing to mention. The fuel pump is quite as the OEM. This is one of the reasons I chose this brand and not a Walbro.
phaebo Great upgrades you got there. I can still hear you say that the oem fuelpump was good foor 300+ hp. But good to know that it is maxxing out at 250+ hp.
Good to see you get the right numbers again with the new pump and that it is working fine.

Another upgrated that was performed yesterday after the fuel pump swap was the gearbox mount. The OEM mount was replaced by the TRD. After 140000 km the OEM rubber mount of the gearbox looked that it needed to be replaced with a new one. The new gearbox mount is listed in the TRD list that fits only the Altezza-SXE10 models but it fits ok on the IS200 series with no modifications. Straight swap.
After fitment there was no vibration in the cabin and during gear changes the small kicks that existed with the OEM mount had dissapeared. I also had the feeling that the gears change better now, but that could be only my impression.
Nice mate,
Is there a reason you went for this over the one vibra technics offer?
