So the RX has been laid up a while since I been away and won't start and it aint the battery. So time for some tlc, bought the following and going to the doctors to get fixed and MOT'd
Fuchs Titan XTR (thanks to Opie)
K&N oil filter (again Opie)
NGK plus
Magnecor 8mm leads
Fingers crossed it all gets sorted and back on the road

Cheers

Time for a rebuild? Non starter sounds like loss of compression, aka rotor tips worn?

Not necessarily time for a rebuild the problem with the rx is they use oil to get compression left sat too long the oil seaps past the seals and and fuel left in the engine also reduces compression meaning the dont start several ways to sort it with the deflooding procedure but best one is a few drops of 2 stroke into each of the spark plug sockets then new plugs a fully charged battery. Remove the fuel pumo fuse and turn her over til sge fires. Put the fuse back in and warm her up then take her for a good blast and hopefully you will be ok. Never an exact science with these though
