Well despite the gloom and doom  prediction above by DS, the car is now started :thumbup1:.
Not got the full story from the garage but my guess and past experience with the rotary engine is more along the lines of reco2k's comments.
Hence the reason I supplied the garage with good replacement plugs and leads. The guy I send the car too has good knowledge of the car and looks like he worked his magic again. Now just need to get MOT'd and......the bill.

Cheers

New shiny bit ordered, the RX8 clutch reinforcing bracket. The RX8 clutch pedal has been known to fail with little warning. Think some were recalled sometime ago but the design was not changed. So to be safe rather than sorry I will fit this to the existing pedal.

Fitting this the upside  is that I now don't have to worry about a sudden clutch bracket failure leaving me at the side of the road. The downside  is this is one mod that no one will ever see and won't make any difference to performance.

Glad you got her sorted and with out too much expense. I wasnt aware of the clutch failures on them will have to check my paperwork and see if its been done. Is it an expensive mod? Any other plans for her?

The clutch bracket is not too expensive you get on ebay or direct, I went direct to
http://www.rotaryfx.com/product_p/per1121.htm
Fitting they say can be done by yourself, I will see about that, might just get the expert to fit.
Next is to respray the aero body kit and refit, also a couple of dings to sort out. Wheels will get the kerb knocks fixed and painted.
Exhaust will be replaced as had the motor for 5 years now and something I always wanted to change, so will see what is out there. Perhaps an induction kit ??
Apart from that it still looks good for a 2005 plate .
