daveo can someone please help here explain a few things. the car is nearly ready for remapping. have supercharger mounted and hardpiped. i did not put anything on the bypass valve as i was thinking i could run without it.....can i run without it or am i better to install one. the cable off of the valve is broken but the spring is ok. do i have to replace this cord?? the car is drift spec .i am using a patrick black box. will this be ok with a 160mm pulley.?? any help greatly appreciated as im at a standstill at the moment.

You cannot remap an IS200 unless you have a standalone management system. The factory ECU will wipe any changes.

You don't need a bypass if you've a BOV. If you are going for a BOV you need a 1st generation HKS SSQV as they are the only ones that are adjustable which you need as the boost pressure of a supercharger is considerably lower than a turbo which they are more commonly used. You will need either a bypass or a BOV or else you'll get compressor surge and belt slip.

This is where i have my BOV mounted.

Any good quality bov will be adjustable and you can get bov for low boost setups as well.
