Upgraded Clutch for supercharger
I am looking to buy a good clutch kit for my is200 supercharged.
I now use a 155mm supercharger pulley with 2zzge injectors and when boosting my clutch cant handle the torque anymore.
Now i replaced my clutch for a new genuine oem clutch and clutch cover etc. But now my clutch is still slipping when i am boosting.
When i press the gas pedal it slips a little bit and then goes forward.
Now i now that the oem clutch is not strong enough to handle my engine.
So what do you guys use for clutch?
Are 6 paddle clutches any good?
Does anyone know if the is200 1gfe clutch and cover are the same as the altezza rs200.
i know the flywheel is diffrent but i know the clutch plate is the same. But i cant find out if the clutch cover is diffrent.

19-02-2021, 10:40 AM #2You can get upgraded organic clutches, which I'd use over a paddle clutch if it's mainly for road use.

Well i know for sur that the clutch is fitted perfect because i did it by my self and also cleaned everything up and there was no oil or dirt left on the clutch and plate and flywheel.
Everything works just fine but when i am driving in 4th gear or something at 3000 rpm and i press the gas it just slips for a second and then goes on.
looks like there is too less pressure on the clutch cover.
But now after a week driving it looks like the grip gets better and i almost dont notice any clutch slip anymore.
Does anyone know if a clutch needs to be wearing in or something?
could it be that a new clutch slips a bit. while driving it for a week solves the slipping?
It looks like it is the case but i cannot believe it. I dont really trust it anymore.

is200 1gfe and the toyota altezza 3sge engines both use the same clutch plate and clutch cover. they also use the same gearbox exept a diffrent bellhousing because of the diffrent engines.
The flywheel is not the same because the 1gfe uses 6 bolts and the 3sge uses 8 bolts on the flywheel to the crankcase.
anyway the clutch and cover are the same. there are more choices of clutch kits when you start looking for altezza clutch kits then when you search for is200.
at last I decided that I am gonna buy a helix organic performance clutch and performance clutch cover. I heard a lot of good stories of these clutches.
They are not the cheapest but probably one of the best clutches I found out.
