IS300 Manual Conversion
IS300 Manual Conversion
The latest of which is an IS300 with some choice mods.
So, to do a manual conversion Im guessing it's a case of running either an r154 6 speed Supra box, or a w58, with either an adapter plate or custom/modified bell housing?

So I'm looking at a few different options for more power this year/next.

04-03-2021, 12:26 AM #2The r154 is a 5 speed. You will need a remote shift r154 from the manual soarer or the mk4 supra. The 6 speed will fit but will cost you daft money. Have a look for the v160 or v161. W58 should fit, not sure where the shifter will be though. Whatever you do, a prop needs to be made. I think the r154 and v160 will be bolt on, as they are both from a jz engine.

04-03-2021, 12:36 AM #5If you had a remote shift, prop and clutch. You'd need to mess with the ECU to trick it into thinking it still had the auto gearbox. Mounts, no idea.

04-03-2021, 03:32 AM #7There are two types of r154, one with remote shifter position and one without. You need the one with a remote shift. Basically the gear stick is further back.
