Thats ok Im a carpenter I dont pretend to be a pro welder mate once its all ground down itll be fine still atleast im giving it a go most people wouldnt
Tosh what do hou mean thick? An cause im running a turbo set up allready im trying to use the down pipe again without modding it so gonna do the elbows out like ive done in the picky bit from both sides an then flange ontop
That's Ok mate. It's just I could have done a professional job for you if you only spotted it together
Thats it tho bud I want to have a go as ive got all the bits sat there for ages but didnt feal up to it now i wanna try an see what happens an once ive ground it all up it will look loads better you dont know untill you have tried it getting someone else to do it is easy
I mean the tube is very thick for an exhaust. Not that it matters, itl last longer and move less at that thickness. Check your penetration before.grinding it off. Have a feel inside the tube see.your weld has gone.through. It looks far too cold to have penetrated though, should've ground a channel into the joins. If you have no penetration and you grind off the weld itl make it much weaker and prone to cracking.
Definitely would've ground a channel, purged it and tig welded it but like you said atleast you tried
Yeah ive ground the meeting ends into a v so the weld will sink into it looking inside the tube has a burn on it where the welds are an yeah I thought thicker can only be good if it cracks oh well more welding needed
When I was doing it the pipe was glowing bright red
Ok I'm sorry for hurting your feelings slagging of your welding . lol
But it's looking much better now
