New thread as this is where i should of started it in the first place.

Onto the car it is a 2003 Honda S2000 i bought this in march 2014, after owning a is200 then a bmw touring, i now had the works van and the use of other halfs car i could buy a summer toy. To keep for a year or 2, so started looking at mx5's cheap as hell but to way to common and power was not to bad but i wanted something different that had a little bit of poke if i was to floor it, so started looking at Porsche boxers you could pick one up for about 3 grand but thought of the potential repair costs and i did want to be back in a jap car again.

Next step call up my insurers to see what the insurance costs would be for a few cars im looking at Evo5 £1400, r32 skyline £1200, Soarer tt £800, S2000 £500.

So looked around for Soarers and s2000 all the soarer i wanted were all autos which i didnt want for a toy so looked at a few s2000's most were overpriced or just dog rough after a bout a month of looking i saw (the one i own now on ebay classifieds) got intouch with the guy he was away all week but comming past my house on friday whoop whoop so he stopped by and it was very clean and well looked after, he was selling as he had another kid on the way and needed a bigger car so i took it off his hands for a reasonable price, the only aftermarket parts on the car were lowerd on BC Coilovers and alloy wheels 17'' polished lip body coloured centres k&n filter in standard intake pipe.

I had it 2 day before i saw Dhino while i was cleaning the car so off goes Dhino to get the camera and off we go to snap a few pics.

After a few weeks with the car i was now settled in it :w00t::w00t:

Next up the standard intake had split because of the airbox was cut buy the guy before so i found a second hand one and put that on with a mikalor clamp. I must of tightend the clamp up to much and wrecked the second intake within a week :cursing: so i orderd a aluminium setup off ebay which came with a filter but i didnt use as i had an original k&n filter. the kit came polished aluminium which i didnt like so had it powdercoated black (no pics with it black or fitted ATM)

Then i got the symptoms of a broken down cat rattling at tickover comming from under the centre of the car so i found a secondhand DMS testpipe with cel fix and extra lug for another sensor for sale so that was purchaced. Then gave it a little polish before fitting on my drive (excuse the mess of the driveway)

after Trax i went to Cyprus for a week break loved it, car got put in the garage at my parents before i went. came back weather was good the car had 1 week tax left on it so it came back out :w00t::w00t: and got put away again when the tax ran out, i didnt want it out over winter so not taxing it would mean i couldnt drive it.

So the work begins plans are drop the subframe powdercoat it and polybush and just a general clean up of the underside and service.

Droped the subframe easy enough no stuck bolts on the diff or subframe mounting points the only problem i had was undoing one of the brake lines but got that sorted.

The geomertry bolts were sezied as i thought they would be so cutting them out is the only option so that happend now im just waiting for parts to come back from powdercoating then reassembly can begin.

Thanks to Opie Oils for a speedy delivery many thanks

They are really good quality, Knurling to the inside of the bush to hold grease better, chamfered edges and the inside of the metal insert has been rough grooved to hold the grease as well.

and Drift Factory uk for getting the bushes full set of red Strongflex pollybushes.

Subframe is back from the powder coaters, also i have been painting the arms off the back end i didnt get these powdercoated because of the ball joints in the arms i couldnt get them out and didnt fancy damaging them so masked them off and painted them, plus another item turned up today Alloycraft cooling plate which was modified for a air intake the guy was giving it away i just paid for the postage get in.

If its going to be done do it properly i say.

More bits today rear calipers are painted and going to put new seals in tonight, been messing with the cooling panel that turned up yesterday and received geo bolts for the rear arms as some were seized in ( common problem ) and the price for 5 bolts £80 odd quid  but had 10% discount ordering through S2Ki still
