Hi all, has anyone got or had a is220d as I'm looking to change my is200 for 1 because I'm going to be doing a lot of traveling with my job.

What are they like for mapping to bet better performance and mpg, options on body styling.

I've been looking at air ride for them and it seams pretty reasonable on price.

Lexus ECUs are a general no no for mapping. If you're doing motorway miles you will be fine, lots of town driving and no motorway won't do wonders for your dpf. Also, use the best diesel you can get your hands on as that's what they are designed for. Get an auto.

The second gen is a very comfortable car as it is, bit too much body roll but that's easily fixable.

Or get a diesel 3 series.

There are plenty of tuning chips for the 220d, increasing the power from 177 to around 215hp.

Sorry, I only know about the Swedish brands, but I'm sure there has to be equivalents over there.

3 series. Actually, if you get a fairly new 330d you probably won't even bother messing about with the IS200 after that.

I have been fancying a 330d, will do some nice searchin when I'm back home on sat mornin.
