I am after a good set of used 1g-GTE
RODS and PISTONS for my turboed 1999 Lexus IS 200.
(alternative could be h-profile rods at a nice price suited for my engine)
75 mm stock piston bore.
44 mm conrod big ends.
If someone know a good source helping me finding these parts,
please let me know

26-07-2022, 12:18 AM #4Try looking on some of the Australian boards, your fastest bet will be to get some shipped over from there or Japan. Or look at the ones Ike engineering do, which will require some work on your engine to fit.

I will keep an eye for parts overthere!
And the IKE engineering set looks good, but since i just want to go with 75 mm bore and keep the cost reasonable they arent an alternative.

Mate, you are tuning the wrong engine to keep the cost reasonable.

only the basic turbo setup i have gathered, have well passed the cost of 1jz engine itself..
But since i have decided not to swap in a good engine- 1jz/2jz with cheap easy to find aftermarket parts its only to walk this path!
Thinking like this:
Rods are new 770 euro
and stock pistons, machined down are free for me.
Even saves the rebore cost.
This stands well up against the IKE pricing.
