My Honda Civic Type R bumper has seen better days and I now have a Mugen rep splitter to replace the OEM one. I've just been to a bodyshop and got a quote of £450 to paint everything and fix my new splitter on. Just wondering if that's pretty reasonable or what? They said they can't do anything lower because of their costs. It's £300 just to respray the bumper and fix it up as there's little knock and scratches etc.
I trust these guys even though the only thing they've done for me is have a chat about my bonnet (Got that wrapped in the end due to cost) and they polished my headlights back to shiny again.
Peoples thoughts.. Don't be mean!

I'm not sure about cost but when I spoke to companies they quoted me around 200 for a bumper so it may well be just due to where u live and the cost they incure

Seems it could be because someone in the Midlands said I should be looking at around that price of £200. My company in Essex are £300 just for the bumper.

Just keep thinking is it worth it? But then why should I question myself.. It's my baby.. But I'm not made of money :/ I have to many hobbies! (Xbox, cameras, gigs.. It goes on)

The cost can vary a lot... I have had a few done, and the prices have differed quite a bit.

My Almera GTi bumper cost me 200 - That was a straight up bumper off, prep, spray and re-fit.

But then my Starlet cost me 120 - Which included the same as above but also included the repair of a big hole from where a side exit exhaust used to come out... So oddly it was a lot cheaper for more work on the Starlet. However, this was done by a chap who worked on his own in a little back street body shop, so he made is prices up as he went. The Almera was done at a bodyshop which was part of a UK wide chain, so their costs will be pretty high as standard I would have thought.

It is one of those things that you need to shop about for I think, but with paint work, make sure you have heard good reviews or seen their work, it isn't something you want to take the cheapest quote for if their work isn't the best!
