hi all
after my last post about my s/c belt slipping i got anti slip spray and all was well, then the next day my belt snapped.
i replaced belt yesterday and today it snapped again, brand new belt.
looking at it i think the cause could be the tensioner, it look out of line just and i think its kicking it out, my problem is i think its the frame, or is there a better tension/ automatic tension i can use?

i can replace either and does anyone on here have a frame or make frames that are good quality and has anyone come across this problem? thanks for reading my book haha.

couldnt see how the cradle could go out of line there well built check all the bolts are tight .
the tensioner could be worn and and seizing up replace the tensioner ask for a toyota supra 7mgte timing belt tensioner at your local auto factors.

The tensioner looks outa line all take a picture tomorrow, the tensioner on it is about 8 months old. How often you think i should replace them. I always thought my frame wasnt great i also had it strengthened, i think i got a replica but not a great one. I could be wrong and i hope i am.

is it a diy kit? if so what are you using as bypass if this is not setup right the pressure that builds when the throttle snaps close has no where to go and would cause a lot of strain on the belt and pulley.

From the second picture it looks like the engine pulley is too far forward

hi guys i took whole s/c off today and the frame with tensioner on is way off, the pulley on engine is straight. but it look like the s/c and engine pulley are in-line i more pictures but i really believe i need a new frame and maybe the frame i got was a DIY and poor job at that. i could be wrong but let me know your thoughts. i think the only reason i am having problems now is the increase in power is giving me the signs that it cant handle and that maybe since i have had the s/c there has always been a problem.
