My VIN plate confirms the colour is factory and also tells me it has a open diff (YRoL is supposed to have LSD, I've read). It wears the sport bodykit but without the boot spoiler, kickplates are plastic and not chrome (pedals are sport though) and the rear windows are very dark tinted (pain in the **** to reverse at night!) and are excellent, which leads me to think they are factory.
The car is sending me mixed signals, is there anything that google is not telling me, that I should look for and failing that do you think Lexus dealership would have any answers?
I was wondering if any of you guys could help me out. I've got myself a bright yellow Lexus IS200 which the previous owner claims was one of 50 or so. This leads me to believe he was claiming it is a 'Yellow Rose of Lexus', but how do I make certain that this claim is true?

They would most likely be Altezza's though wouldn't they? As you suggested, I should ust go visit a dealer and see if they can shed light on it.
