Just got a decat manifold put on my is200, on idle and when pulling away it only runs on 3 cylinders and the em light and trc light come on, then all 6 fire up and all is good, is that what happens when decat is put on and will the car stop doing it after a while?

thanks

Long time guys, little update, so car is running a lot better now, trc light just needed resetting as the clutch was done on the car so that works fine and the running has been sorted now too, thank you is200turbo for the spacer idea, got those and put them on, also found that the garage who did the work plugged the lambdas the opposite way round, car now runs like a dream, fuel economy has gone down but that's what happens with a decat, decent remap should help sort that.

Remap? You running standalone, cuz whatever you do to the standard ECU will be a waste of time and money. The ****** will just rewrite itself.

unfortunately wayne is correct the lexus is fitted with a self learning ecu which means any map you put on when u start the car again will go back to the original setup

is it no better with the spacers on the sensors?

the two sensor control 3 cylinders each so could be related to that

In my opinion not unless your boosting. The gains you would get would be far too costly. You've got the cost of the ecu, the hassle of marrying it to your loom and then you've got the cost of having it tuned.
