Anyone tried to put a bigger throttle on a 1gfe engine?Seem a bit small for this engine. Is it possible to take the OEM throttle and machined it to a bigger size? But if the throttle is made bigger, the manifold needs to be done too.

Is there some guys here or know somebody who tried this before?

I dont know anyone that has done it, but i also doubt its too small.

theres a bloke called squint whos run 400bhp from his modified turbo engine, still using the same original throttle body.

Youd be best changing the whole inlet then. i think.

The problem with the IS200 throttle is its kind of a drive by wire/cable hybrid.

The cable goes to the throttle, but actually only pulls on a position sensor. that then feeds the ecu which decides how much to open the throttle using a motor.
