Jimbobs Lexus IS200 Turbo!
My new project is gonna be a Lexus with a 1JZ VVti.
So i started by sourcing an engine, managed to get JZX110 for £1300.
Then after i researched engine mounts i decided to go with IS300 mounts and brackets.
Pulled the 1gfe and cleaned the engine bay ready to receive its new heart.

This then just dropped straight in with no problems. Subframe clear and not obstructing anywhere.

So im going to have to get a custom one made up as i am no welder lol

21-10-2023, 07:40 AM #1,242Looking at going top mount single turbo instead of a CT15B. I ordered a top mount manifold from ebay.
Fitted it to the engine but hit a problem, as it is designed obviously for a different car the turbo sits quite low and far back which make it very tight at the back.
So im going to have to get a custom one made up as i am no welder lol
I have also sorted all the engine wires on the loom and car body ready for when i install the ecu. The engine loom swings by the original ecu box and has exactly the same bung so ill fit the Link in the original box to keep it all tidy.

21-10-2023, 07:43 AM #1,243As the JZX110 is drive by wire and my Link G4+ Storm ecu does not support this i had to get a Toyota Soarer throttle body from the states. This has been delivered today so i can fit all of that next week.
