If you have a type S, diesel, or other non-type R trim spec civic...you will have a slightly lower rated boot strut than the type R.

This is due to the weight of the spoiler on the R.

If you want to upgrade to a Type R/mugen spoiler, you will have to uprate the struts, or your boot wont open...believe me, ive been there.

Luckily, there is a cheap fix!

Perfect force for the boot with the spoiler.

A bargain at less than £15, getting some from honda will cost you considerably more.
