Another Bumper Thread....
Davros the TTE bumper comes with mesh but no "L", the mesh is not fixed in place and you need to screw it in place yourself, it also comes with a strengthening bar/plate that sits across the top part of the grill area to give it some support......It also comes with the small "TTE" emblem embossed sticker to the bottom part of the bumper as in your pic.
I think, but I could be wrong, that when Lexus fitted the TTE bumper, they added the "Lexus/Sport" embossed sticker.
My "L" on my TTE grill is actually a rear boot emblem I think.......there was a thread ages ago on the part needed......Chris had the part numbers up somewhere.

The picture on the TTE site shows a Lexus badge on it :
Yes my original TTE bumper came from Chris when he worked for Lexus. It came with bumper/mesh/cross support bar/embossed 'TTE' sticker, all sealed and with the original TTE instructions (which were sealed with the TTE sticker). So yes whilst it came from a Lexus main dealership, it was still a complete TTE part.
Odd isn't it, surely I can't be the only one who had a brand new TTE bumper in the box?

EDIT: Was talking rubbish, just found this over the other side posted by Chris in 2003:
You will need
TTE Front Bumper ________________ PZ439-C0430-00 ___ 265.72 + Vat
Washer blanking plug _____________ 90339-07016 ___ 3.67 + Vat
Washer switch blanking plug _______ 55524-53010-C0 ___ 3.20 + Vat
+ A lexus emblem if required (sorry haven't got part number) and a Sport badge
01001-01271 3.50 + Vat
So back in 2003 anyway, both badges were optional extras (clearly TTE are the BMW of accesories )
ok, so from all this, here's my guess (which may be wrong) - sounds like the TTE bumper used to come without Lexus badge, but I imagine the vast majority were installed by dealers and with the Lexus badge ordered separately and added on. I really can't imagine a dealer installing one and leaving the badge off, they would have thought it wasn't right. If you ordered one now then maybe the badge comes with it or maybe it is still separate ?
I imagine that some people did remove the Lexus badge themselves, later on, and I suspect that's what's happened with your one Dave.
Marsdendean so is that how much a brand new TTE bumper is then???That was in 2003, when I checked in 2005 after they improved the quality and added the washer holes, the price was £600! Hence why I decided to go for one off ebay for £45 instead of getting a new one :tongue_smilie:
There pretty expensive!

These would have all obviously had L badges and the little "Sport" sticker at the bottom.

Sounds about right Parthiban, I think we've sussed it at last mate. As I remember Chris also gave the part numbers for the rear boot "L" (which is slightly larger than a normal grill Lexus emblem)and 3 tiny locking tabs needed to fix it to the TTE bumper grill, which must still be over at the 'other place', because those were the part numbers I used to get my "L".
Mine must be quite rare then to have the "TTE" embossed sticker? I agree I think Lexus would have binned the TTE one for one of there own on any bumpers they fitted........Anyone else got it?
