dan_harris sorry chris wiki is lying to me I thought the R34 GT was a non-turbo and uses the RB20DE Neo engine?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_skyline
*further to my thoughts i was under the impression that the R33 GTR used a RB26DETT (DETT being Twin-Turbo) and the R34GT-T runs the RB25DET (single turbo) ?

The r34 gt neo is a 2.5 single mate, was just saying that the GT-T is a twin Smile

Any model thats listed as a TT is a twin turbo mate but could be wrong mate :confused:

The Neo engine is suposed to be a more economic version of the rb25 thats in mine, mine has the 280bhp spec 2 version engine fitted as its a spec 1.5 which is a cross over model so has a few spec 2 parts and a few spec 1 parts :confused1: quite confusing when your looking for parts for it too :cursing:

Nice chris Smile not a fan of that wing on the back of the R32 though Sad did you see my edit in my last reply about the engines?

Edit just seen your reply.

My understanding for the R34 series and according to wiki is:
* GT - 2.0 L RB20DE NEO I6, 155 ps (114 kW)
* 25 GT, GT-X, GT-V - 2.5 L RB25DE NEO I6, 200 ps (147 kW)
* GT-FOUR - 2.5 L RB25DE NEO I6, 200 ps (147 kW) AWD
* GT-T - 2.5 L RB25DET NEO turbo I6, 280 hp (206 kW, 343 N m) << this is what i'm saying is the single turbo despite it being GT-T the engine is still only a RB25DET and not the RB26DETT as in the GTR which indeed is a twin-turbo?
then for the GTR it's
* GT-R - 2.6 L RB26DETT twin-turbo I6, 332 PS (244 kW, 392 Nm) (advertised as 280)[19]
* GT-R V-Spec - Additional aero parts, brake ventilation ducts, diffuser.
* GT-R V-Spec II - As above + carbon fibre bonnet with NACA duct.
* GT-R N1 - Blueprinted N1 motor, no A/C, no stereo, no rear wiper, basic interior trim. (only 45 made)
* GT-R M-Spec - Leather interior, softer suspension with "Ripple Control" dampers, heated seats.
* GT-R V-Spec II Nür - As above V-Spec II + N1 motor, 300 km/h speedo. (only 750 made)
* GT-R M-Spec Nür - As above M-Spec + N1 motor, 300 km/h speedo. (only 250 made)
* GT-R NISMO R-tune
* GT-R NISMO Z-tune - 2.8 L (bored and stroked) RB26DETT Z2 twin-turbo I6, 500 PS (368 kW, 540 Nm) Z1 and Z2 (Only 19 made)

Edit lol: yes see what you mean mate, i'm confused even more now LOL.

urm hypothetical ofcourse......

or is it Confusedneaky2:

on a serious note, it's kind of both really if I were to go that route I will be waiting a couple of years as skyline insurance is just daft £2k when a supra is only £580 just doesn't make sense but I would love a Skyline and it's a option for a few years time to save some money and get some NCB to drop the insurance.

i'm undecided on looks see the R33 in midnight purple is stunning but then the R34 in bayside blue is gorgeous too Sad however chances of finding a R34 GT-T in Bayside blue are extremely lower than a R33 GTR in midnight purple.
