Hey guys, I was hoping someone could help me.

I’ve just noticed a problem with my car alarm, and remember reading a post about it on another forum, but it seems that the post has been removed.

My car alarm went off today, but the sounder in the boot was so extremely quiet, it took me a while to work out that it was my car alarm that was going off.

I then set my alarm off on purpose to see if it was a one off fluke, but again it was still wasn’t working properly

Does any one remember why this is happening, and how to go about fixing it ?

Many thanks !!

Dave !

To be honest this has reminded me about my IS200, the alarm was so low in volume I thought it was like that standard.

I went to shop once with my son in the car, I didnt realise that by pressing the lock once, activated all alarms and senses, and twice turns the internal ones off, i thought it was the opposite, so my son was in the car, so i only pressed it once,

the alarm went off and I didnt realise until i got out of the shop and my son was screaming his head off as the alarm was on.

Nope...

There is a separate sounder in the boot behind all the lining.

It's both isn't it, didn't you hear the horn? whenever I hear an alarm that sounds like a horn I check my car just incase.

40mm Lowering Springs, Re-sprayed Front, 6000K HID's, Re-furbed alloys, Bandit Induction Kit (cheers Chris), Raised boot spoiler with LED, Blue calipers with silver decals, De-badged rear, Chrome Oil Filler Cap (thanks to Chris again), White LED dash bulbs, Blue a/c control bulbs, Blue door markers and interior lights, Sony head unit, Chrome Lexus tax disc holder, TRD side skirts, Original Saloon Front Bumper re-fitted instead of Sportcross

Was it working properly ?

If not did you fix it ? if so how ?

Otherwise i'm confused to how this is meant to help me ?

Hmmm...not sure TBH.

I've got a bit of a problem with my horns at the moment, so they did sound with the alarm.

Well trust me there is a sounder in the boot, and even though it was going off, it was really quiet. You would only hear it when are standing next to it, and with your ear near to the boot.
