PAYE deductions are generally for child benefit etc only. As usual if you owe the inland revenue they WILL take it if you are owed - hard luck.

Purvesh Nothing but grief and a £50 cheque mate. I really wanted the courts to put a process in place that it would be deducted directly via PAYE or something.

They were pants all round.

It's a real shame there are no real repercussions, which is why people feel they can get away with stuff like that and not really worry about what could happen.

I never followed up, but I'm pretty sure the guy who stole my car a few years ago probably walked away scot free........

2tongues PAYE deductions are generally for child benefit etc only. As usual if you owe the inland revenue they WILL take it if you are owed - hard luck.

I know, just was saying if they devised a system to deduct it as part of an extra 'tax' it would be the right thing to do.

They can't avoid the fine and what has been put in place and I'd get what I was rightfully entitled to.

Sometimes I can't understand why they can't do the basics.

(^^ We missed a joke guys :winkSmile

Agree with you on the point about the extra "tax" then people would get what they are owed, it would all fall apart though when the person decides not to work.

That's awful, what kind of work was it and what does she not like about it? As an example, if someone wanted some tiling done, they got the tiles, you tile it perfectly, can they turn around and not pay saying they didn't like it?

That's ridiculous, hope you get your money soon (that's a lot of money regardless of how old you are!).

i own a double glazing / home improvment company!

she claims she doesnt like the windows, or the fact it was payment on completion although she signed the contract and saw design of windows before they were fitted!

in all truth i know the reason why she isnt paying and thats because she hasnt got the money!

ive also wrote to her saying im not letting her have my windows and my money so have gave her 3 weeks to get someone to fit some other windows else i will come and take mine away! but im guessing as the legal system is so ****ed ill get arrested as soon as i step foot on her property!
