I normally spend £20 a week and do around 100-110 miles on that, so a full tank should last me 3-4 weeks but I don't go anywhere:lol: best i've had is 34mpg which was combined motorway and urban but that was driving like James May:lol:

40mm Lowering Springs, Re-sprayed Front, 6000K HID's, Re-furbed alloys, Bandit Induction Kit (cheers Chris), Raised boot spoiler with LED, Blue calipers with silver decals, De-badged rear, Chrome Oil Filler Cap (thanks to Chris again), White LED dash bulbs, Blue a/c control bulbs, Blue door markers and interior lights, Sony head unit, Chrome Lexus tax disc holder, TRD side skirts, Original Saloon Front Bumper re-fitted instead of Sportcross

That's on a dyno so doesn't have wind resistance and friction and stuff to contend with, but that is still pretty impressive - is that all down to the CVT then? Have to admit that that also puts me off, just doesn't sound as involving as you never really hear the engine redline..........

But with the added congestion charge exemption, it's definitely the sensible choice.

Marsdendean Get a hybrid, A J Marsden get around 28mpg from his when he went JAE

Should that be 28 or 38? 28 isn't that impressive, in fact probably normal for a large V6 engined car.......

Is the new prius quite good then? That sounds like much improved economy - we have a gen 2 Prius (07 plate) and it tends to get around 50mpg most of the time.

Marsdendean Is your Hilux a tuned one

Sort of, it's a 2.4 td with bigger injectors and a stronger actuator spring
it makes about 100 bhp on a 50/50 derv/rape seed mix
