Yes, I know this is a japanese club so I probably won't get too far here but come on, try your level best to be even slightly unbiased!

I'm looking at changing cars, I do this very often. Currently have a lovely IS300 which I do enjoy a lot but can't help my eyes wandering anymore, really like the look of Audi S3's (The older shape, I'm not rich) and was wondering if anyone here had any experience, first hand or otherwise?

My brother had one as a company car - he said and these are his words!!!

"they are great whilst in warranty, out of warranty it will drain your wallet"

"Life's goal is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body. But, rather to skid in sideways........
totally worn out and broken, shouting 'Holy ****, WHAT A RIDE!'"

Reliability/parts wise? The fuel consumption cannot be any worse than my 300 auto, so not worried about fuel. And actually saying that I've spent a lot on parts for the my lex aswell, unlucky as I was.

The amount of times it was in the stealership was worrying for a "quality" brand. It had a new cylinder head after 12K and then a new short engine and clutch after 60K (cracked block). After 3 years and 100K it was well worn out, but a nice enough car.

I think the Audi are good but like the above posts while in warrenty.

One thing to watch for is the dsg Auto gear box they have areal problem and can cost a small fortune to repair.
Body work however is first class.

Gord True mate i did have Audi S4 Avant 4.2 V8 344bhp model, sold car, loved it mate, i miss it to, power all the way, only had one problem, coil pack £27 to replace, service history is a must have, being a 4.2 v8 mpg was not its strong point Confusedhock: but i knew this before i got it :thumbup1: mine was a 2004 model and the cabin build was fantastic, much better then the BMW 330d i had of the same year.

You still never sent me pics of it matey:Sulk:
