Marsdendean Do you have a GS ian, or are we taking about the SC?

I would like a rear view camera, but can't use the sat nav screen as i can't find anything that will connect to it!

Redz will be able to sort you out but the conversion is a lot of money, well over £120.

You will be able to add anything to the screen, DVD, PS2/3 XBOX, TV, Rear view camers etc.

So long as you have some sort of adaptor to give you an Aux in for audio on your OEM head unit (Grom adaptor, Stavs DAB unit etc) you will get the sound through your OEM speakers.

MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE FOR VEHICLES WITH BUILT IN NAVIGATION UNIT
The cars this kit fits are Lexus SC/ GS / RX range

THIS INTERFACE ALLOWS THE USE OF A DVD,PLAYSTATION,GAMES CONSOLE,ETC ETC TO YOUR EXISTING SCREEN
I think the unit i have has two connectors allowing either a camera being one connector with the dvd/ps2/3xbox tv being the other.

Dean i paid £70 for my adapter most companies want around -£230 for this kit and it fits the GS Range as well

http://www.shopwiki.co.uk/_Connects2+CT9...r+Lexus+GS

If anyone after one of these kits please let me know.

we can drop the voltage down to 6v when you fit i can get you the regulators to do it etc if you choose patriks idea. i will have a look around at the cameras i have got see if they are still on ebay the one i got for the mg was about £18 delivered it has the lines on it to indiacte distamce etc and was simple to wire up.
without looking in detail at a camera location on the car or taking bits of i cant say where would be best but its more fun to take apart to find out lol

Marsdendean, you could change the screen completly to a 7" touchscreen like i did if yours is the 7" housing that is screen prices vary but im sure we could find something that will do the job

the one you linked to wont work on the IS, connects2 dont support it.

As 2tongues mentioned i can get them for around £120 depending on what you want on it etc..

the base model has one input but you can use an av selector to add a second.

LEXUS IS200 Sport Navigator - 140.8db

Marsdendean So what kind of rough price would you be looking to add a touchscreen and dvd/tv.

I'm guessing it would be near £1000 because i wont be able to use the lexus sat nav?

My screen was about £150 but i ahd to but a few bits for the housing as wel so another £100.

My headunit plays dvds so took the output of that into the unit worked a treat, also alows reverse camera etc.

the plus side of the screen i got is it has 2 video inputs plus a PC input and its touchscreen obviously you dont have to get the touchscreen/pc side if you dont wnt it but does alow for further expansion.
