bored while work is closed and waiting for the price on led scuff plates to be made up so.
drilled out all the big black plugs on the door sills and wired up some leds

wrote a how to as well

so the first thing you need to do is get some led's , i got these
[Image: SDC11276.jpg]
then you need to remove the door sills from the car which is done by placine a flat screew driver under then and popping off the plastic holders....
then when you have them home you need to remove the metal plate by lifting the metal tabs from the back
[Image: SDC11269.jpg]
then you need to remove the large plastic plugs only
[Image: SDC11272.jpg]
i used a knife for this and just cut off the back of the plug so it can be popped out
so you end up like this
[Image: SDC11275.jpg]
then you need to put the metal back together with the plastic and drill the holes for the led's ... i usen a 5mm drill bit but check what size you leds are.

after drilling you need to clean up the back of the plastic with a knife to remove any bits of plastic left
then you need to glue the led's into the plastic
[Image: SDC11267.jpg]
then solder it all up and check that it's all working good
[Image: SDC11283.jpg]

then you need to put it in the car and hock it up to the light loop from the key barrel unit.
and there you go.. everybody has a light door sill

hope this helps you
