so do you just splice in to the wires(no cutting)just wrap round and solder?or do you cut and have a wire or two not atached if you know what i mean??seriously wiring really is't my strong point......amps,subs,tv's not a problem but even though this is only 4 wires i'm bricking it!!!!!

Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

03-12-2016, 12:08 AM #7You need a good electrical connection there, whatever you do don't use scotch-locks. You really need to solder. Whether you strip back just the insulation, wrap the new wire around and solder, then insulate it - or cut the OEM wires and then attach them all togther and solder, then insulate - is up to you really.

DJ Wozza I thought the FCD had only 4 wires (think the linky has 5) ?
On mine it is like this
Red = Red
Black = Black
White = Yellow
Yellow = Green
It does you ignore the 5th wire

you cut one wire and join each end to the fcd, and splice into two others.
