Welcome to the club Martin, if you look in the workshop section of the IS there's a good walk through on changing the diff and gearbox oil, it was done by Ormi who works for Toyota:thumbup:

40mm Lowering Springs, Re-sprayed Front, 6000K HID's, Re-furbed alloys, Bandit Induction Kit (cheers Chris), Raised boot spoiler with LED, Blue calipers with silver decals, De-badged rear, Chrome Oil Filler Cap (thanks to Chris again), White LED dash bulbs, Blue a/c control bulbs, Blue door markers and interior lights, Sony head unit, Chrome Lexus tax disc holder, TRD side skirts, Original Saloon Front Bumper re-fitted instead of Sportcross

Ta for the welcome Andy,

I've had a quick look at the excellent walk through, should be picking up the oil this weekend. Looking at weather forcaste it might be a while before i'm flat on my back though.

I'm looking forward to giving it some TLC, I've only had the car for 6 months but its slowly crept into my heart, i've not enjoed owning a car this much since my old Clio Williams.

I've not taken any pics worth posting so far, should've made the effort in the summer after the hours spent elbowing polish and wax.

I'm planning on treating myself to some new alloys as mine have seen better days once the salt and crud are off the roads, so I'll definitely be posting some arty pics after they've been fitted.

I like the 17" OE 5 spoke but the cheapest qoute I've had for a refurb is £260, does anyone know of any decent refurb companies in the Midlands or Essex?

Pristine Wheels, they are nationwide but the head office is Milton Keynes..

These are the best as far as I am concerned. They do a "loan" wheel whilst yours is being repaired.

If you want a first class job done where the wheel get dip re-powder coated them inside and out then the link below is where i would recommend.
The owner is John his work place is not great but the job is asgood as it gets.
Think John will charge around £200 to £300 per set.
I will be doing mine in the summer.

Please dont go to a cheap place that just tidies the wheel and respray them with out dipping them.

I did call JP a couple of months ago for a qoute, he came across like a top bloke :thumbup1:. I think the qoute was around £240 at the time but I would've been stuffed without a motor, as he was flat out so i may have been looking at a up to a week turn around on the alloys.

May have to give him another shout as the link above shows a price of £170 for a set of 4 Big Grin, from what i can remember his power silver finish looked pretty tasty too. Where abouts on Canvey is he ?
