Not really, but I've been losing weight for a couple of weeks now and I expect to reach my goal around April this year.

A few years ago I got a job at an office and that resulted in a weight gain of 15kg (33 pounds). I'm 186cm tall and my weight at the beginning of this year was 104,8kg (231 pounds). Although I wasn't round my BMI was 30,3 which means obese.

Anyway, I've now been taking 1 hour walks every day and I'm keeping to the GI method (No, not the US Army method). My main food is taco salad and I'm staying away from all beverages that contain sugar.

Does it work? Oh yes! I thought I'd keep you updated in this thread as I'm slowly moving towards my goal of 85kg (187 pounds).

This is my chart that I'm updating every day. The red line illustrates an average weight loss of 1kg (2,2 pounds) per week. The blue line is my actual weight from day to day. As long as I'm below the red line I'm happy :tongue_smilie:

My first important goal is Monday, 8th March when one of my sisters is getting married. I have to be able to wear my suit that was tailored for me a few years ago. Wish me luck :w00t:

The recommendation on weight loss is 3lb per week so i told any more than that i told will make you put the weight back on much quicker should you lapse at any point.

Good luck with your plan though Patrick

Speed up your walking, then do little jogs take it EASY and eventually you will be able to jog what you are currently walking without a problem.

The weight will fall off you once you do more jogging than walking, but take it easy otherwise you could do more harm than good.

I found unsweetened popcorn useful as a snack during the day, I also limited calorie intake to 550 max per day - this is extreme but it worked!!

Thank you for all the feedback, now I'm even more motivated

This is my first update, even though I've updated the chart in the first post every day. I've reached my first small goal which is getting under 100kg. What I forgot to mention in my first post is that although taco salad is my main type of dinner I eat quite a lot of eggs as well.

My breakfasts consist of two boiled eggs and a glass of water, every day. Eggs are yummy and they keep me from getting hungry until lunch. Omelettes are also great meals if you are going with the GI method

After a too long period of unemployment I've finally got a new job :thumbup1: This also means another opportunity to exercise, as it's a nice 30 min walk to get there.
