If you're certain the sound is coming from the rear of the charger I think it might be the bearings, but try with the proper belt and see if the sound disappears.
Also, if you remove the belt and then turn the pulley by hand, quickly from side to side, does it make a knocking sound when you change direction? In that case it could be worn splines.
hi wozza does yours do it on idle?and did you look at the video clip?
just trying to get my bumper to fit now!!!!nightmare!!
well thats the bumper all fitted i removed the mesh at the bottom of the bumper so the intercooler is more on show and i spaced out the number plate tilter so i can tilt my plate more.
heres a wee pic.just waiting on the charger belt now!!!!!!
ormi ye all the bolts are tight matey i double checked.....also is the gap on the charger were the belt runs to be at the front or rear of the charger pulley?

Ormi you sure you're getting a 790 back? Ive experienced what you had where people just assume the 788 is fine as as replacement for the 790. You might be best getting an 800 as you can get them anywhere.
i'm even struggling to find/get an 800 i got a 803 today so i'm off to fit it now see how that goes.......
well fitted the belt and took it out a run iiii lllllooooovvvvvveeeeee that noise and i just about made an old man fall over when i floored it next too him!!!!lol...
also on the noise's that i heard, having a tighter belt on has made them vanish so all is well in the charger camp!!!!wwwooooooooo hoooooooooooo!!!
Chuffed for you mate, well done
