As the title says really, mine blew up a while ago......anyone got any recomendations ......seen this, apparently its made by makita so should be decent

I have a Makita Last years model came with 3 bats charger and is still going strong after many days installing and drilling into various walls

i would go for a makita i have similar to this one

Out of the 2 i'd go for the one Rabs posted up, had Makita drills and other makita tools for years and have never let us down, :thumbup1:

sometimes when you go into the stores they ahve a better offer on teh counter, i know when i was in there the other week i went to buy a makita for work and walked out with a dewalt at a cheaper price so was happy with that lol

You do get what you pay for, but if it is just for light DIY the £99 one would be adequate.

Yep I recently replaced a black & decker one with a dewalt and the difference is unbelievable - got it for a bargain at B&Q a few months ago, worth popping into the different DIY stores as they often have promotions for the top end stuff.
